The sports commission is happy to announce to the entire student populace to equip themselves and anticipate for their very first freshers games, which will be held in the early days of 2021/2022 first academic semester.
The sports commission, headed by Mr Samuel Hamilton Awartey in a meeting with leaders of the various departments agreed on professionalism and discipline from both ends. This particular tournament is going to be an all sporting disciplines tournament: thus, including but not limited to basketball, soccer, volleyball, table tennis and tennis.
As part of the promoting women in sports agenda by the KNUST sports directorate, there will be special incentives for the ladies who participate in next semesters fresher games.
Outstanding performance from each segment of the games will be awarded medals and certificates. Best ‘jama’ group and fair play teams would equally be rewarded.
The commission urges all of us to remain calm and embrace discipline and they promise to serve KNUST Obuasi campus sports athletes ( men and women) all that befits them.
