The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi was at Afia Schwarzenegger’s late father’s funeral and he made a financial contribution as is customarily done.
Afia Schwarzenegger upon seeing the Ashanti regional Chairman run into his arms as he held her in a lengthy embrace during which he spoke some words of encouragement to her.
The affable Chairman Wontumi consoled the heavy-hearted actress who broke down and wept uncontrollably at the beginning of the final funeral rites.
Dressed in a black kaftan and accompanied by a team of NPP members, Chairman Wontumi was greeted with cheers from the other mourners, with many shouting his name.
The NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman later took the microphone, officially greeted those present, and announced a donation of ¢4,000.
